Visited on wednesday may 25, 2005. At about 3:45 PM while in casino near the Hard Rock entrance a gentlemen began begging for money. I was accompained by my aunt and uncle both 85 years old. They were very intimidated by this individual. After we ignored his requests he went about bothering other patrons. I proceeded to the security desk near the boardwalk entrance near the Hard Rock and complained to the young man present and pointed out the individual. His response was shocking, he looked at me and at him and stated "welcome to Atlantic City" What do you expect. I was appalled and left the casino immediatly. This is not what i have come to expect from a Trump casino. I was very dissappointed.

I stay here frequently due to their "comp" system--- Rooms are fairly nice- Spacious and clean- Decor is a bit over the top for my tastes- but what the hell... Casino help is very friendly- Drinks are usually offered on a regular basis- Comp system is generous- One thing I would mention is that the food is slipping a LOT- My husband and I got violently ill after dining in the Sultan's Buffet- Others I have spoken to have reported the same- I'd be careful about the food here..

Wonderfully designed casino. It also has a well-lit and organized poker room. Room was very nice, but we did have a corner suite. Numerous awesome restaraunts to choose from, including an excellent buffet. You can get comped for both the room and restaruants if you play enough - they are generous with that. Without the comp, the room is pretty expensive. The Tropicana, with the largest number of rooms in AC, usually has a better deal. The Taj is at the north end of the Boardwalk, so it's a long walk to everything else. Staff was friendly enough, especially the dealers. I don't know if the hotel is family friendly - heck, I don't consider any casino hotel family friendly. They have a small arcade for kids, with the steel pier carnival and a beach right on the Boardwalk.

Nothing special about this place. Check-in was slow and the room was nothing special - an average hotel room. Casino was busy but stingy with the drinks. Won off and on, and the buffet was like school cafeteria food. This place is huge...and it takes quite a hike just to get anywhere. probably won't be coming back.

I liked the Taj Mahal. Usually you can get a deal cheaper than the rates listed.
They have a great comp system. You take your card to a machine (Like an ATM) and it will tell you how much of a comp you can get. You print it out and take it to the restuarant.
The rooms were nice.

Very nice, pleasantly furnished rooms but not any better than the other major casino hotels. When I stayed there I was annoyed by noises from room doors that had to be slammed shut to close and elevators that sounded like cows mooing in the distance. Staff is frequently confused and sometimes gives inaccurate information. When I reserved a package which included a dinner buffet I was told the buffet could be used the first or second day. When I arrived, I was told it only could be used the first day. I explained that I was told differently, but they couldn't offer me the buffet the second day. Casino and public areas are nice. The Taj is a nice place to visit and play at. Staying there is OK but not great.
