All 'fluff' no substance
I'm sure it won't matter a twig to Donald Trump but I thought this hotel offered 'fluff' but no subtance. Our first night we got there (my husband had a conference in AC and we decided to stay at Trump instead of the Sheraton, our bad) the hotel was 'oversold'. Okay, no problem, they gave us a suite for the night that we had to move our stuff the next day, again no prob. the suite was nice but it REEKED of smoke. Not only were, I guess we on a smoking floor, it smelled like smokers had just left 5 minutes previous! Our allergies were awful the next morning, red eyes, congestion, etc. Finally got out of that room and went to the 28th floor, non smoking. Yes, thank you Lord. The room was okay, but no internet access, at ALL. I could find nothing on the hotel in the room, what they offered, etc. and no Internet. Even Hamptons provide Internet service for crying out loud! Went downstairs to 'guest services' ( and I use that term loosely) and was told that 'I'm closed'. When I tried to ask her a question! LOL! Wait, it gets better. Then on Wednesday we decide we'll go to the show that's there. Cirque De Illusions or somethign like that. Went to the box office downstairs and the guy was very rude. He was talking to someone so when we came up and asked about seats he looked at us and said 'well what do you want to know?' I said 'well, are there any?' He RELUCTANTLY looked and said only a certain area, and then turned and continued TALKING TO THE WOMAN NEXT TO HIM! The area he showed was way up and on the sides. We said thanks, walked away and then decided to go back and ask if we could see the theater to see how far they'd be. The theater was 10 steps from us and no one was in there! He said 'nope'. We said 'fine, thanks anyway' and left. Rude, rude, rude. The housekeeping staff was friendly as was one gal at the Check-in/Guest services desk. Other than that, no, I would never stay there again OR recommend it to anyone. It smelled of smoke all the time. The lobby being the worst (actually the 31st floor was the worst) The windows from the elevator side need cleaning HORRIBLY. Looks like they've been neglected for a few years.

A Total Rip Off
First, the valet will only park your car if you are staying over night which I was and they had room for my car but my family traveling in a different car arriving at the same time could no park. Second, I play at Trump Plaza on a regular and spend a lot of money and when I went back they said I had to play for 30 minutes in order to receive my cashback and bonus kiosk money from the previous trip. I played before and it should be available. Rooms are small and the beds are old and they try to hide the old beds by putting good linen on them. The staff is rude and uncaring. My aunt was a diabetic and needed food immediately and they said she should have prepared her meals ahead and it was not their problem. Checking in and out is a nightmare go to Showboat or Harrahs's where everyone is very helpful, respectful and knowledgeable.

We come to the Pool & SPA Show each year, in past years we have stayed at
CAESARS this year we though we would try a new place so we stayed at TRUMP
PLAZA HOTEL. I can only say I was very disappointed ,they told us that because
there were not very many people in the hotel that some of the restaurants were not
open and some were under repair. So for the three days we were their we went to
Caesars to eat.We bring our wives they like to play the slots, when they were playing
we had to ask a lady that passed if we could get a drink she said she would send
someone.WE ARE STILL WAITING!! I am going to send a copy of this to the Org.
that gave you a 5 star rating.I don,t know why they gave it to you but it must have been a
long time ago.

Mixed feelings about this place. At check-in we were told by the no personality desk clerk that the hotel was overbooked and there was no room for us, even though we did have a reservation. Not the best news after a long drive! So, after screaming at the manager (yes, I lost it) a room magically appeared for us! The manager told us that the hotel always reserves a bunch of suites for high rollers and there was one suite left, which he gave us because it was rather late at night. The suite was spectacular!! I swear it was half the size of the floor we were on. We stayed in the room for 2 nights, so I guess they more than made up for their mistake! The casino was a winner too...won more there than lots of other places, although it was filled with old people in wheel chairs sucking on oxygen tanks. So, I guess not a bad experience after all. Just remember....when you are told that there is no room at the inn, that may not really be the case!

I stayed at this hotel with my sister Debra Lynn on Aug. 26th-27th & was quite disappointed in a few things. 1)Had ordered breakfast the night before for a 9:00 Am room service which when it came it was cold & the order was screwed up! The egg order was suppose to be, one scramble & one over easy & it was suppose to come w/sausage. 2)We understood that this can happen so I called room service & they said they would send up the correct order right away which they did not! 3)We had to call back cause we needed to vacate the room due to the fact of time check-out. However, although I have my complaints, I must say that the guy who checked us in (Darrell) whom we had before is an exceptional worker, extremely pleasant & could not be more nicer or more helpful! He definitely is a plus to your hotel! Sincerely, Diane Forte!

I've Been staying at the Plaza quite abit. This last time on August 26th til the 27thI was very dissapointed in the room service. We ordered room servicefor breakfast not only was the order not quite right but when we called back it took very long for them to send up the rightorder so we called and canceled because we had to checkout and also they were not very friendly when we called to tell them about our ordr. I really like staying there but the last two times when our breakfast came it was cold. However the guy Darrell at the front check in is extremely nice and very helful. I've checked in with him the last few times I was there and he was so helful. I'm sorry for any inconvience. Sincerely Debbie Lynn Acct#2860594

There is a reason that Trump Plaza is so well known world wide. Its just an amazingly high-class place. Walk in the door and smell the riches around you. Wow. Its a bit pricy, but first class all the way.

Rooms are furnished with quality furnishings but they are small and shaped like pie slices. On busy nights, Trump Plaza has a habit of overbooking. They once gave me a room (at their expense) in the now closed Trump Worlds Fair, and once gave me a parl
or room with a convertible sofa rather than a bed. Centrally located on the Boardwalk near Caesars and Ballys and the Ocean One. There are better choices. If you do stay here, the Broadway Buffet has an excellent reputation. It has more limited choices t
han some, but the ingredients are all extremely fresh and the preparations creative.
